Getting a Library Card
Library cards are free to Wisconsin residents who present a valid ID with proof of current residential address.
- Cards are renewed each year. There is no fee for renewal. A $1.00 replacement fee will be charged for a lost or destroyed card.
- Children may receive a library card when they are 6 years old or enter kindergarten, whichever comes first.
- Students under 16 years of age will need a parent or guardian to sign a statement of responsibility.
- First-time borrowers are limited to two items.
Acceptable forms of identification include any of the following:
- driver's license showing current address
- imprinted checks
- bank statement
- rent agreement
- utility, telephone, or water bill
